Where your data goes
Short version: nowhere. Flights stay on the phone, there is no account to create, and there is no analytics or advertising code inside the app.

What the app reads
FlightNav GPS uses your phone’s GPS to show where you are: latitude, longitude, altitude, ground speed, track and accuracy. That data is processed on the device and never sent to a server.
Where it stays
Flight recordings, waypoints and settings are saved on your phone only. There is no automatic upload: if you want to take a flight elsewhere, you export it yourself as GPX, KML or CSV and decide where it goes.
The requests that leave
There are three, and none of them carries your position. Online map imagery comes from CARTO, ESRI and OpenAIP. A place search sends the text you typed to Nominatim (OpenStreetMap), not your coordinates. Downloading an offline map fetches a file from flightnavgps.com: the server logs that request like any website does, with IP address and time.
Third parties
None. No analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting. No data is shared with anyone.
Accounts
Not needed. The app asks for no registration and no login.
Permissions
Location, to know where you are. Internet, for the online map, place search and map downloads. Notifications, for the persistent notice shown while a recording is running.
Deleting everything
Clear the app data from Android settings, or uninstall the app: either way nothing is left behind.
Children
The app is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data about them.
This website
There are no analytics, no advertising and no third-party scripts. Fonts come from Google Fonts, which sees the IP address of whoever opens the page.
The contact form
What you write — name, email and message — is stored on the site’s server and sent to my mailbox, to answer you and for nothing else. It goes on no list and is shared with no one. Along with the message I keep the date, the browser used and a fingerprint of your IP address: a daily hash, used only to stop automated submissions, from which the address cannot be recovered. Opening the form sets one technical cookie (fn_cid) that lasts two hours and ties the submission to the page you opened: it tracks nothing and no other site can read it. If you want a message you sent me deleted, write to me and I will remove it.
